OPERATION NORTHWOODS: HAVE THE CIA AND PENTAGON PLANNED TERRORIST ACTS ON THE US SOIL?

OPERATION NORTHWOODS: HAVE THE CIA AND PENTAGON PLANNED TERRORIST ACTS ON THE US SOIL?

It’s hard to believe nowadays. According the US law the archives can be declassified after 50 years. The documents related to Northwood operation, that never took place, were made public after this period of time. Reading it either gets one shocked or makes smile unbelievingly. It was exactly 50 years ago the CIA together with the Joint Chiefs of Staff were planning an attack against their own country. On March 13 1962 then Defense Secretary Robert McNamara submitted the plan to President John Kennedy for approval. »»»»»

THE FLOWERS OF "JASMINE" REVOLUTIONS TURN TO THE EAST

THE FLOWERS OF "JASMINE" REVOLUTIONS TURN TO THE EAST

It’s exactly a hundred years ago the West suffered a cognitive geopolitical defeat. Back then the European public opinion pinned hopes on the Russian revolution that strived to put an end to the authoritarian "barbarian" monarchy and bring liberal elite to power. But the widely praised elite happened to be just a thin cultural layer of the stormy sea alien to the West. There was no country with more freedoms than in Hungary; it was dubbed "the liveliest barrack" not without a reason. Yes, Magyars actually wished to leave the Soviet auspice, but close cooperation with it hasn’t been entirely negative. Numerous industrial objects have been constructed with the help from the USSR; after events of 1956 the Soviet Union granted Hungary a multi-billion ruble aid free of charge. Hungarian goods had a stable outlet in the USSR. »»»»»

AXIOMS OF GEOPOLITICAL EXPERIENCE. Part I.
Russia, Turkey and the geopolitical retrospection

AXIOMS OF GEOPOLITICAL EXPERIENCE. Part I. Russia, Turkey and the geopolitical retrospection

On the 2nd of August, 1914 Enver Pasha, military officer and actual ruler of Turkey offered Russia to align a military bloc against Germany and Austria-Hungary, once Russia guaranteed eternal Turkish possession of the Straits. Yet, it was exactly the thing that St. Petersburg politicians were unwilling to do, giving Turkey a final push towards the embrace of the Central states. Not multiplying the number of its allies was of vital importance for Russia at the moment and cutting off the Straits Turkey, thus, interrupted the most important channel of Russian communications with its Western allies. »»»»»
